| ??/??/92 | The Making of "TV Crimes" - Japanese TV | Japan | Interviews, studio footage of the band filming the "TV Crimes" video, TV Crimes promo | This 20 minute pro-shot video documents the filming of the promo for "TV Crimes". This contains some rather frank and amusing interview footage with Dio and Appice, as well as another segment with Iommi and Butler. | ||
| 6/??/92 | Interview with Dio, Butler and Appice | Interview with Dio, Butler & Appice. | This interview footage appeared in a Much Music Spotlight in 8/95. | |||
| 6/21/92 | Headbanger's Ball - Tony & Geezer appear | NY | U.S. | This is probably the broadcast date for this appearance on MTV's "Headbanger's Ball" | ||
| 6/22/92 | Maksoud Plaza | Sao Paulo | Brazil | Press conference | Press conference, 1 day before the first show [35m] | |
| 6/23/92 | Olympia Hall | Sao Paulo | Brazil | The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs [sound gets a little garbled in the middle], I, Die Young [short arrangement], Guitar Solo, Black Sabbath, TV Crimes, Master Of Insanity, Drum Solo, Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Neon Knights, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath [intro] -> Paranoid, Outro-Fluff | Audience film. I had previously had this one mixed up with the Rio 6/30/92 film, due to a number of misdated DVD's out there. I will have corrected info for this video coming soon. In addition to this complete film of the show, the band also appeared as VJ's for a 30-minute program on MTV Brazil. Live footage of them performing "Mob Rules" and "Computer God" at this show was featured on the program. |
|
| 6/25/92 | Olympia Hall | Sao Paulo | Brazil | The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, I, Die Young, Guitar Solo, Black Sabbath, TV Crimes, Master Of Insanity, Drum Solo, Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Neon Knights, Paranoid, | ||
| 6/27/92 | Pista Do Ibirapuera | Sao Paulo | Brazil | E5150, The Mob Rules, Children Of The Sea, War Pigs, I, Die Young, Guitar Solo, Black Sabbath, TV Crimes, Master Of Insanity, Drum Solo, Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Neon Knights, Paranoid | Audience film. Roberto S.: "It was taken at Ibirapuera, but it was NOT a TV shot, but the video screen tape. I have the master of it. Notice that there are just two cameras doing the job. Also, the original audio is very bad, distorted and I´ve dubbed with my camera shot (yes, I also filmed privately). That´s because you have a hi-fi audio on it." |
|
| 6/30/92 | Canecao | Rio De Janeiro | Brazil | Intro-E5150, The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, I, Die Young, Guitar Solo, Black Sabbath, TV Crimes, Master Of Insanity, Drum Solo, Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Neon Knights, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (intro only) -> Paranoid (not checked) | Often confused with the 6/23/92 Sao Paulo film, this is actually the more common of the two. Johnny Fire: "A few weeks back I received a cool DVD-R called "Computer Crimes"; the Sabbath show it presents is dated as 6-23-92, in Cancao, Brazil. But I'm convinced the listed date and location are incorrect. It's the same show your site also lists as 6-23-92, because the drums and vocals are mostly inaudible during the opening song, 'Mob Rules', as your listing mentions. (The sound later improves to 'A-' quality, although Geezer's bass is a bit muddy throughout). One other thing that identifies this video is when Ronnie cusses out a shirt-thrower just prior to 'TV Crimes'." "But here's the correct date and locale - when introducing 'Children Of The Sea' earlier in the show, Ronnie first addresses the audience by saying, "Hello for the second time in Rio"! That would date this performance as 6-30-92, according to your listing of Dehumanizer concerts. Later in the show, Ronnie again calls the audience "Rio", although I can't recall his exact words." |

Shot head to toe wide. [105m]
| 7/??/92 | Argentinian TV Special | Argentina | Interview with Iommi + Dio + Appice, TV Crimes (Live in the studio), Time Machine (Live in the studio) | Apparently, Sabbath did this live in the studio performance during their visit to Argentina! The running time is 15 minutes. | ||
| 7/24/92 | Sunrise Musical Theater | Sunrise | FL | U.S. | Soundcheck - Vinny Appice [Source #1? - May only be present on some copies], Intro-E5150, The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, I, Die Young [short arrangement], Nicholls / Iommi instrumental -> Guitar Solo [includes Jazz improvisation & a few phrases from the "Warning" solo] -> Jam [Iommi, Butler, Appice; "Cross Of Thorns" riff] -> Sabbath Bloody Sabbath [main riff only] -> Guitar Solo 2 [includes "Orchid"], Guitar intro -> Black Sabbath, TV Crimes, Medley: Master Of Insanity -> After All (The Dead), Vinny Appice's Drum Solo, Iron Man, Heaven And Hell. E: Neon Knights, Paranoid -> Heaven And Hell (reprise) [Source #1-missing; Source #2 - incomplete, but joined in progress] | Opening night for the DEHUMANIZER U.S. tour. Ronnie mentions that this is also their first U.S. appearance in over 10 years during his introduction for "Children Of The Sea". He is of course alluding to the last show by this particular lineup of the band (Dio, Appice, Butler, Iommi, Nicholls) at Hoffman Estates on 8/31/82. There are two different sources, but three different versions of the Sunrise '92 show on video. Source #1 is an very good to excellent Hi8 audience film shot from the upper left. Once the filmer gets in position and gets away from a few annoying heads in the bleachers, the view is mostly unobstructed. Very nice wide shots of the stage alternating with very good zooms! Some copies of this source may includes a bit of Vinny Appice playing during the soundcheck. Source #1 is incomplete, lacking the second encore of "Paranoid". [115m] Source #2 is a nearly complete VG Hi8 audience film, mostly shot from the 7th row with Hi-Fi audio. A nice alternate perspective of the show, especially when the filmer is able to zoom in for close-up's and avoid the heads and arms of the crowd. It's during those often brief opportunities that we get some really wonderful shots of the band. Overall, this source isn't consistently as good as source #1, due to the obvious difficulty in getting unobstructed views from the floor. Still, an admirable effort! The 2nd encore of "Paranoid" is incomplete, but joined in progress. [112m] Version #3 is a combination of sources #1 and 2. Camera 1 is in the left hand bleachers, while camera 2 is on the floor in the 7th row. In general, the camera 1 views are much better since there are almost no obstructions from its perch at the top of the bleachers. Camera 2 does provide some even nicer close-up's at times, but the shots aren't consistently as good. Mid-way through the first verses of "Iron Man", Ronnie forgets the words! The band waits for him to get it together and he manages to regain his footing. Sunrise '92 includes the first live performance of "After All (The Dead)", which was not performed during the warmup shows in South America. It would immediate follow a shortened arrangement of "Master Of Insanity" for the remainder of the tour. Some have called this sequence a 'medley'/ Ronnie does in fact perform a lot of medleys with his own band, but I'm not certain that an uninterupted segueway between two songs would be a true medley by definition. |
| 7/25/92 | USF Sun Dome | Tampa | FL | U.S. | Intro-E5150, The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, I, Die Young, Guitar Solo, Black Sabbath, TV Crimes, Master Of Insanity -> After All (The Dead), Drum Solo, Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Neon Knights, Paranoid | EX- Hi8 audience film with Hi-Fi sound. Shaky, but not too bad. [100m] |

| 8/6/92 | Headbangers Ball Interview | NYC | NY | U.S. | Interview with Ronnie James Dio and Vinny Appice, Interview with Tony and Geezer | Interview for MTV's HEADBANGER'S BALL, done by Riki Rachtman. The interview is broken up into 2 different sections, with Ronnie and Vinny together for the 1st and Tony and Geezer for the 2nd. Is this a telling of how band relations were at the time? I was able to date this by a comment that Tony made about the band having 3 more U.S. dates before playing festivals in Europe. There is also the fact that MTV Studios is located in NYC! |
| 8/6/92 | The Beacon Theatre | NYC | NY | U.S. | The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, War Pigs, Time Machine, I, Die Young, Guitar Solo -> Jam -> Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (Jam version) -> Guitar Solo II, Guitar Intro -> Black Sabbath, Master Of Insanity, After All (The Dead), Vinny Appice's Drum Solo, Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Neon Knights, Paranoid -> Heaven and Hell [reprise] | Shaky filming, but nice close-ups! Running time is just under 100 minutes. Note - This show is also being traded as Sacramento 11/12/92 VCD: WITH HUMANITY Bootleg Videos: THE RETURN OF RONNIE JAMES DIO - NEW YORK 1992 |
| 8/9/92 | Orpheum Theater | Boston | MA | U.S. | Intro-E5150, The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, Black Sabbath, Master Of Insanity -> After All (The Dead), Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Paranoid | |

| 9/5/92 | Birmingham NEC | Birmingham | England | Private backstage footage | VG private Hi8 film with a running time of 18 minutes. Paul May wrote: “Some extremely rare home video shot over several days and evenings by a person who had access backstage & on the tour bus. Great shots of all the band members joking around, discussing business & meeting some fans. Very cool tape! Pretty sure this was shot in Birmingham.” Michael Liddle shared the following info: "A friend of mine has video footage of Tony Martin turning up at the NEC in 92. Apparently, Geezer is overheard saying "What the f**k is he doing here". She filmed the whole thing backstage and Dio & Martin did their best to avoid each other until they literally bumped into each other. Martin knows this tape exists and was worried it would do the rounds, as apparently it's cringeworthy." |

| 9/12/92 | Festa Nazionale Dell' Unita - Arena Del Chionso | Reggio Emilia | Italy | Version #1: [from Monsters Of Rock ’92 special]: Computer God [incomplete; joined in progress at start of 1st verse], Children Of The Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs [the video portion of this is replaced with a short interview with Iommi and Butler about halfway through; They discuss the reunion with Dio and Appice, while “War Pigs” plays underneath], Black Sabbath [incomplete; joined in progress during fast section at end], Master Of Insanity, After All (The Dead). Version #2: [complete songs, no interviews]: Computer God, Children of the Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell |
There are three different versions of Sabbath's 'Monsters Of Rock' appearance in Reggio Emilia on video. Two of these are different edits of the 'Monsters Of Rock' TV special. I'd imagine the best copies of this one are excellent, but have only found VG+ copies in trade circulation. The third source is a rare VG audience film with good (slightly distorted) sound. It was filmed from the ground level, so there are some obstructions from time to time. Still, this is a nice unedited alternative to the TV broadcast versions. Running time is approximately 67 minutes, which was the complete performance. |

The Mob Rules [live clip], Ronnie interview | Black and white footage from French TV program “Metal Express”. Recorded live in Paris on 9/15/92. Includes live performance and interviw with Ronnie James Dio. [11m]
| 9/16/92 | Vorst Nationaal (Forest National) | Brussels | Belgium | Intro-E5150, The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, I, Die Young, Guitar Solo, Black Sabbath, Master Of Insanity -> After All (The Dead), Drum Solo, Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Neon Knights, Paranoid | VG audience film done from the back center of this venue. A little shaky in spots, but very nice overall. Running time is 99 minutes. | |

One of the nicer videos from this tour. With Hi-Fi sound. [92m] |
| 11/12/92 | Sacramento Community Center - Exhibit Hall | Sacramento | CA | U.S. | See 8/6/92 | Bogus! This is actually a mistitled copy of the Beacon Theater, NYC show from August 8th, 1992. Jim Rollner: "Sacramento '92 is NOT what it says it is. I received this in a trade last week, and just sat down to watch it last night. Right off the bat, I recognized some of the video shots and stage comments, and sure enough, what's being traded around as Sacramento 11/12/92 is actually New York Beacon Theater 8/6/92. At the end of 'Paranoid,' Ronnie even says 'Thank you, New York!' though, it's kind of hard to hear him - the DVD I received is a pretty generated version of this particular vid. My 8/6/92 vid is much clearer and cleaner sounding, so this so-called Sacramento video is NOT worth seeking out for any reason." |
| 11/13/92 | Henry J. Kaiser Auditorium | Oakland | CA | U.S. | Intro-E5150, The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children of the Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, I, Die Young -> Guitar Solo, Guitar Intro -> Black Sabbath, Master Of Insanity -> After All (The Dead), Drum Solo, Iron Man, Heaven and Hell, Neon Knights, Paranoid -> Heaven And Hell [reprise; with Carmine Appice on drums], Outro (Laguna Sunrise), Footage in the parking lot outside of the show [Track listing taken from Version #1; The other 2 versions should also be complete, but without the extra bits mentioned here] | There are 3 different audience films of this gig. Version #1 was filmed from the right side, facing the stage (Tony Iommi’s side). I have this film and it’s quite nice! Great close-up’s, fairly steady filming and Hi-Fi sound. Version #2 is a VG 2-Camera Hi-8 audience mix, which gets a little grainy when the lights go out, but is still nice. [90m]. Version #3 is a ‘super close’ audience film. One bootleg title for this show is "Music From Out Of Nowhere" DVD Bootlegs: LAST SHOW WITH RONNIE (Power Gate) VHS Bootlegs: MUSIC FROM OUT OF NOWHERE DEHUMANIZING OAKLAND |
| 11/14/92 | Pacific Amphitheater | Costa Mesa | CA | U.S. | Intro-E5150, The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Symptom Of The Universe, N.I.B., Die Young, Into The Void, Heaven And Hell, Supernaut, Neon Knights, | Very good audience film of the 1st of two nights featuring Judas Priest's Rob Halford on lead vocals! Running time for this video is approximately 63 minutes. The curiosity factor for this film should be enough for people to tolerate the shaky camera work. Filmed from rear bleachers on the left side (more towards Geezer), this is a Hi8 film with very good mono sound. The camera zoom is decent enough that you can follow the action on stage pretty well. But it is unfortunate that the camera work is so wobbly, so you might need to take some tablets for sea sickness to stabilize your nerves for this one. Still, we should be thankful to have ANY document of this historic show. Disappointing for the shakiness, but still very worthwhile for it's uniqueness. It's also really neat to see Rob tackle "Computer God", which isn't performed on the 2nd night. His rendition of "Computer God" isn't as polished and melodic as Ronnie, but you can tell he enjoys throwing his power behind this challenging track. He mixes up the lyrics for "N.I.B." a bit, but ah well. It's still great fun to see Rob fronting his hometown heroes on this special night in Costa Mesa! Paul Gearhart: "I was at both of the Rob Halford shows. There was a pro camera there both nights. They had the projection screen up there. However, I did see them using video tapes in that camera.(both nights). I have an audience film of the first night and it's very bouncy. I hope someday the other tapes will appear. I heard an interview with Rob in '95. He talked about the shows and mentioned that they were filmed." |
| 11/15/92 | Pacific Amphitheater | Costa Mesa | CA | U.S. | Set 1 [with Rob Halford and Vinny Appice]: Intro-E5150 -> The Mob Rules [missing from audience source], Children Of The Grave, Children Of The Sea, Symptom Of The Universe, Bassically -> N.I.B., Die Young, Iommi / Nicholls instrumental -> Into The Void, Heaven And Hell, Intermission, E: Sweet Leaf, Neon Knights Set 2 [Reunion set with Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler]: Black Sabbath, Fairies Wear Boots, Iron Man, Paranoid |
Version #1: A complete 85-minute audience film with Hi-Fi sound. This one is a bit distant, but the camera work is decent. VG quality. Version #2: 53 minutes of unedited pro-shot footage for MTV, some of which is done from the 1st row. The close-ups are outstanding and picture quality is great, but the audio track is quite overdriven and distorted. This footage is probably the best testament to this lineup performing together, so the audio problems are quite a shame! Also included is some footage from Ozzy’s headlining set, some after show interviews with the band and a separate interview with Ozzy. Version #3 The BBC Documentary ROCK FAMILY TREES contains some excerpts from this show of the original members performing "Black Sabbath" at this show. The footage is a pro-shot multi-camera angle film. I have not compared this with the raw footage from Version #2, but it is my belief that this IS in fact different. However, the complete footage is not in public circulation. |
