Richard Johnson: Hi all.  The band performed their entire set last night on a rehearsal night.  Fucking amazing.  The gothic brick church set  is amazing as well with rod iron gated areas out front where Tony & Geezer's amps are located, sort of the grave yard area.  Really great sounding.  Everyone is right &  on flawless.  I had seen tons of bands rehearse but really did feel privileged to see this.  Ronnie sang most of the set with a leather coat with a fur collar on it, a cup of coffee in one hand & the other in his pockets.

Vinny tipped drums testing how hard he could hit them between songs & talked to his tech about various things, while Tony unveiled a cream colored SG (obtained only months ago) he will play on two songs.   Geezer occasionally switched out to some newer bass guitars he's obtained, checking for feel & sound.  They did not breeze thru the set.  It took about 3 1/2 hours w/all the stops & talking.  It was surreal seeing Ronnie go through the breakdown portion of "Heaven & Hell" ,with the "I'm gonna burn in hell w/all of you!" to an almost empty coliseum.

Oh!  I did an interview on film, supposedly for the DVD extras.  We'll see.  A lot of the extras for upcoming DVD including sound check were filmed here in Vancouver BC yesterday.  Oh yeah they are filming DVD in NYC Radio City Music Hall.  Not sure if you knew that or not.
